I'd recently read somewhere that Chrissie Hynde had moved back to the U.S. and recorded a 'country' album. Although I neither like or dislike The Pretenders' music, I just wanted to know if this is true or not. If so, why did she do it, what about the group, and did her daughters move with her or did they stay in England? more

No Suprise. Looking at the history of 3 decades of hip hop - the recent pretenders, studio gangsters, speak & spell rhymers and the soft R&B wannabe crowd are all off this list. Even if i would put on Chuck D or Kool Keith it still stands as someone who knows all hip hop. I own 5 Tribe albums and 6 Busta albums but i wouldn't put them on that list just cause i "like them". Here goes again. I referred to the Goats as a group that didn't sell that well. That was an example of "underground" in the sense few people buy it or hear of it. That doesn't address undergound beats or rhymes. I think Paris & Scarface did that. I think MOP has an underground flow as has Kool G Rap. Harsh & in your face. Ghostface is the one MC out of Wu that most non hip hop heads that i know don't understand "what he is saying" compared to Method, Gza or ODB. So Old Skool. Dats Kool & the Gang. My rare groove collection is extreme and i love the elements of hip hop which includes a large collection of beats. Tupac. He is just an eg. of wack fans of this RAP thing thinking they know the genre, if they said i like this guy but i don't really listen to much hip hop to know the difference - well I wouldn't b!tch as much. Yeah I know his tracks. Brenda was still a poppy sounding hood tale all the rest are just ok. PEACE more
